James McCarthy Scholarship Application Form

Applications are now open for the 2021 James McCarthy Scholarship. This is a two year scholarship (for the completion of Years 11 and 12) and is open to 2020 Year 10 students from the wider community and also currently enrolled Year 10 students at Ignatius Park College.

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit, community involvement and financial need.

Preference will be given to those applicants who would greatly benefit from an Ignatius Park College education, and who, without some financial assistance, would be unable to attend.  This scholarship is a 50% remission on tuition fees.

All components of this application form must be received no later than 4.00pm, Monday 16 June 2020
Late submissions will not be accepted.

1. Academic Achievements Please provide a statement describing any prizes and special achievements and involvement in other academic activities. Additionally, please provide copies of the latest school report and NAPLAN results report. (500 word limit)

2. Community Involvement Please provide a statement outlining involvement and achievements in community activities such as Sport, Church or other community involvement. (500 word limit)

3. Financial Access Please briefly outline how receiving the scholarship will provide a greater opportunity to access an education at Ignatius Park College. (500 word limit)
