Ignatius Park College boasts a rich and proud tradition of musical productions. The College collaborates with our sister schools, St Margaret Mary’s College and St Patrick’s College, to showcase the talents of students from Years 7 to 12 across the three Townsville Catholic Colleges. Each year, the schools take turns hosting the production, allowing students to be part of an inspiring ensemble where they can shine in acting, singing, and dancing while building a strong sense of community and camaraderie.

In June 2025, Ignatius Park College students rocked the Townsville Civic Theatre stage in a spectacular combined musical production of We Will Rock You. Performed in collaboration with sister schools St Patrick’s College and St Margaret Mary’s College, this futuristic tale blended the iconic music of Queen with comedy, sci-fi, and high-energy storytelling—creating the perfect outlet for student creativity, talent, and imagination. See images below from this exciting production!

The 2026 production, All Shook Up, is proudly hosted by Ignatius Park College. The show promises to be an unforgettable experience, bursting with energy, creativity, and the remarkable talent of our students. Tickets will be available for purchase from TicketShop, with the link to come shortly.

In 2023, Ignatius Park College celebrated the golden age of Hollywood with our very own production of Bugsy Malone.  Collaborating with our sister schools, the College presented this beloved family gangster musical. With a cast of more than seventy students, our talented Creative Team guided and nurtured comic and charismatic performances that captivated audiences, reminding us all that "if you give a little love, it all comes back to you."
