Buses
IPC Northern Beaches Bus
This coach is a private service for Ignatius Park College students who travel to and from the northern areas. Please find attached the timetable for the recommended bus route, which will commence in January 2023.
The College offers three options for bus usage on the private service, which include:
- Full-Time Travel | $300.00 per term | Invoiced separately to Parent / Carer
- Part-Time Travel | $195.00 | Per Term (up to 50 fares) Invoiced separately to Parent / Carer
- Casual Travel | $5.00 | Charged per ticket purchased

School Bus Pass
To apply for a school bus pass, please go to the following online application form:

You will receive notification via email/phone of the outcome of your application within a 1-2 week of submission. In the interim of receiving the bus pass/es, the student/s is to purchase a single/daily/weekly ticket from the driver using cash only.
Student Travel Rebates
Student travel rebate applications are only open in May for Semester 1 and October for Semester 2. Please visit https://schooltransport.com.au/check-your-eligibility/bfap/ first to check if you are eligible.
Bus Fare Assistance
To qualify for Bus Fare Assistance, you must answer "Yes" to all of the questions below. (Extra funding may be available to you if you think you may be eligible for Students With Disability.)
Does your family spend in bus/ferry fares than the threshold? We pay you some of the amounts you spend above the threshold.
The weekly thresholds are:
- Semester 2 2022 (July to December 2022 travel) - $45 per family (or $35 per concession family for those applicants who hold a current Health Care, Pensioner Concession or Veterans’ Affairs Pensioner Concession card).
- Semester 1 2023 (January to June 2023 travel) - $35 per family (or $25 per concession family).
Does your student attend a non-state school that is outside the Brisbane City Council boundary?
Does your student live more than 3.2km for Primary or 4.8km for Secondary from their school (except if you are a concession card holder)?
Are you a Queensland resident?
Does your student travel on a publicly available bus or ferry (NOT owned, leased or chartered by a school or a body associated with a school)?
