Rugby Union

Ignatius Park College caters for Rugby Union teams in all age groups from 12 Years through to Open.  Our Development Program includes Under 14, Under 15 and Open boys, who participate in strength and conditioning training in addition to their regular skills sessions.  These teams also undertake regular tours to experience competition with quality opponents from other regional and metropolitan areas.

Our students have many opportunities to participate in representative competitions, with IPC boys often selected for Townsville, North Queensland and Queensland representation. The IPC program is an important development base for students wishing to continue their sporting career beyond school.

2026 sees in the introduction of our Rugby Union Extension Program, which aims to develop outstanding athletes and exceptional young men through a high-performance environment grounded in the values of Integrity, Pride and Commitment

See the brochure below, for more information on our Rugby Union Extension Program, and register to trial, using the form at the bottom of this page.

The Ignatius Park College Community would like to humbly acknowledge the Wulgurukaba peoples on whose land our College is located, as well as the Bindal peoples on whose land many of us live and travel across daily. We respectfully thank the elders of this traditional land both past and present for guiding us through the journey of time to where we are today.
