College Captain's Welcome
Alexander Demopoulos - College Captain
Welcome to Ignatius Park College, join us as we embark on the College’s 55th year.
It is with immense pride that I have been elected as College Captain for 2024.
It is a privilege and an honour to represent the College and to work alongside the senior 2024 cohort to uphold the values and traditions of Ignatius Park.
Ignatius Park College was founded by the Christian Brothers in the Edmund Rice tradition providing young men a liberating education, based on gospel spirituality, within an inclusive community and committed to justice and solidarity.
This year’s College theme is “Seven Houses One Home”. This theme encompasses the essence of our College, where seven individual houses come together to create a diverse, inclusive, and vibrant community. Each house represents not just a place to belong, but also a unique opportunity to excel, serve and learn.
Ignatius Park College is not just a place for learning, but it’s a home away from home, and a community that thrives on connection and unity. We all come from various backgrounds, cultures, and experiences, yet we all stand together under the values of IPC: Integrity, Pride, and Commitment.
As Iggy men, we will foster an environment where everyone can shine. We will encourage one another to explore our interests, embrace leadership, and strive for personal growth. Through this, we will nurture and grow our inclusive community.
This year we welcome Mr Thomson, our new Principal. We look forward to sharing the traditions, history and values of our great College.
Ignatius Park College is a place that invests in the learning and futures of young men, and this legacy will continue in 2024, making it a year that we will never forget!

Acknowledgement of Country
The Ignatius Park College Community would like to humbly acknowledge the Wulgurukaba peoples on whose land our College is located, as well as the Bindal peoples on whose land many of us live and travel across daily. We respectfully thank the elders of this traditional land both past and present for guiding us through the journey of time to where we are today.
