College Captain's Welcome
Jared Mitchel - School Captain
For me, Ignatius Park College is not just a school, it is my second family with the home being the walls of the classrooms, and the fields being our backyard. My family home is a place where I can be myself without being judged, a place where I make memories and continually learn how to better myself. When I get asked how I feel when I am at school, I always answer with a simple statement, it is just like home.
Ignatius Park College is my home away from home and it is what makes it different from many schools. Whilst obtaining an education you learn more than numbers, grammar, and subjects. You learn how to grow in to a young man, which helps shapes your future and gives you the confidence that you can achieve anything you put your mind too. You develop deep and meaningful connections with classmates and teachers that last a lifetime. Ignatius Park College has provided me and others with numerous pathways to reach our goals and achieve things we did not think possible. I will be eternally grateful for my school because they have guided me to reach my dream job when I finish school. I have a school-based apprenticeship and already know that my education is paying dividends.
Another aspect of any home is the people within it The Ignatius Park College family have had a significant impact on who I am today. It is a sense of belonging that can only be defined as a brotherhood. We are brothers in spirit, by bond and by choice. We are family! I know I can count on any of my brothers in a time of need, n an hour, in a month or ten years. Ignatius Park College just does not get the best boys, they make them the best men they can be. Men of pride, Men of Integrity and Men of Commitment.
Harrison Keir - School Vice Captain
Hi, my name is Harrison Keir and I have been blessed with the privilege of being the College’s 2020 Vice-Captain. I have been lucky enough to attend this college since 2016 making this my 6th year.
When applying for a leadership role I thought of what I can give to this College and what it has done for me. I believed this was a perfect opportunity for me to give back to the school, I also saw an opportunity to help move the school forward, building on the rich history the school already has to offer. This school community has helped shape me into the young man I am today. The brotherhood at Ignatius Park cannot be comprehended until you live it and experience it, it is why myself and many of the boys love this school. I am forever grateful my parents sent me to this school, and I hope I can leave this school in a better place than it already is.
Acknowledgement of Country

We respectfully thank the elders of this traditional land both past and present for guiding us through the journey of time to where we are today.
