Jake Piccolo - 2026 College Captain

Welcome to Ignatius Park! As the College enters its 57^th year, the tradition and values of this extraordinary school live on through the profound work of its students, staff and leadership team.

Getting the opportunity to be the College Captain of IPC is without a doubt the greatest honour of my life so far, and on each day that I have in this role, I will live out the College values of Integrity, Pride and Commitment to the best of my ability and be a positive representation for the school that has given me so much.

Ignatius Park College is founded upon the Edmund Rice Tradition, allowing our young men to live out our 4 College Touchstones in their everyday lives:

• Gospel Spirituality
• Justice and Solidarity
• Liberating Education
• Inclusive Community

These touchstones signify our connection to the Christian Brothers and Edmund Rice Education, whilst giving students the opportunity to better themselves as Iggy Park men and human beings overall.  

Our College values of Integrity, Pride and Commitment display to our student body what it truly means to be an Iggy Park man, creating a moral guidance for our students in every step of their journey with the College. Ignatius Park is more than just a school; it is a family where every student and staff member feels included and respected. We are bonded by diversity, connection and brotherhood as we pull on the IPC crest and represent something larger than ourselves.

The 2026 theme for the College is “Never Me, Always We.” This motto encompasses the true meaning of brotherhood and is one that can be actively lived out every day throughout the College. This theme is based on actions and the way we foster relationships with others, ultimately creating a positive impact on those around us.

Here at IPC, we speak profoundly about the word “brotherhood”, the brotherhood that is fostered at Iggy Park is nothing short of exceptional, with the College theme only adding to this continued enrichment. It allows each student to feel like they are lifted and supported by the people around them, collectively following our values of Integrity, Pride and Commitment.

Ignatius Park College is a place that not only invests in the education of its students, but also invests in their journey from boys to men and ensuring that they uphold the values and traditions that make this school so special. 2026 promises to be another amazing year at the Park, and I hope you can come along with us on the journey.
