Sustainability

Edmund Rice Education Australia and Ignatius Park College have a strong commitment to creating a sustainable future for our world. This is an ongoing project at Ignatius Park College and updates will be posted here and on Facebook.

In Term 2, 2020 students and staff have been challenged to be more ecologically aware as we stay at home and in our local communities. Topics such as composting, bird watching and growing fruit and vegetables from food scraps have been covered in weekly lessons and emails. Garden beds and green walls are being developed around the school grounds.

The Ignatius Park College Community would like to humbly acknowledge the Wulgurukaba peoples on whose land our College is located, as well as the Bindal peoples on whose land many of us live and travel across daily. We respectfully thank the elders of this traditional land both past and present for guiding us through the journey of time to where we are today.
