Novel coronavirus – 2019-nCov - Information for Parents

28th January 2020

Dear Parents & Caregivers

As you may be aware, health authorities across the nation are currently responding to the emergence in Australia of the Coronavirus that has emanated from China.

I attach a link for further information from Queensland Health which includes advice that if children become sick (e.g. fever, flu-like symptoms, sore throat, headaches, breathing difficulties) after having recently had links to Wuhan or the Province of Hubei within China, or in contact with someone who is a confirmed case, they should present immediately to a doctor and not attend school while unwell.

Further information from EQ about the Novel Coronavirus is available at: https://qed.qld.gov.au/abo…/news-and-media/novel-coronavirus

Our school always follows the advice of public health authorities in these circumstances and I would ask you to be especially aware of this current situation in the interest of public health.

Thank you for your support in relation to this matter.

Yours sincerely

Shaun Clarke I Principal

The Ignatius Park College Community would like to humbly acknowledge the Wulgurukaba peoples on whose land our College is located, as well as the Bindal peoples on whose land many of us live and travel across daily. We respectfully thank the elders of this traditional land both past and present for guiding us through the journey of time to where we are today.
